Due to the expiration of Samsung certificates, we are required to release an update of our Instrumentor tool on Monday, 3 November 2025. Normally, this update has no impact on our customers, however, it appears that Samsung has made some changes to their certificates. As a result, after this update, you may not be able to install apps on some of the Samsung Tizen devices (with Samsung Tizen 4.0 or older) unless you perform the actions described below.
Before using any of the Samsung tools, please make sure that SuitestDrive (where your Samsung Tizen device is added) is turned off.
  1. Open "Tizen Package Manager" tool and install any update if available. Check mainly "Samsung Certificate Extension" (version 2.0.74 or newer if available) due to this update.
  2. Open "Tizen Certificate Manager" and create a new "Certificate Profile" ("Samsung" type + "Partner" privilege).
  3. Open "Tizen Device Manager", connect to your Samsung Tizen device and right click on it and click on the "Permit to install applications". image Once it is done, disconnect from the device. image
  4. You may start your SuitestDrive again and auto-instrumentation/Suitestify should work as usual.
If you use Ottium and the app installation starts failing after this, please re-sign your app package with a newly created "Certificate Profile" and re-upload the package to Suitest.
